Privacy notice

Who is responsible for your personal data on mexadev.com, what we collect, what we use it for and how to exercise your ARCO rights.

This is the full privacy notice of mexadev.com. It explains which personal data we process, what for, who else is involved and how to exercise your rights. We serve only companies operating in Mexico. The Spanish version prevails.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Carlos Román Ruiz Basulto, an individual with business and professional activity (persona física con actividad empresarial y profesional) operating under the trade name Mexadev, located at San Juan Bautista 4128, int. 3, Col. Bello Horizonte, C.P. 72170, Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data we collect on mexadev.com, under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, published in the Official Gazette (DOF) on March 20, 2025.

2. Which data we process

  • Contact form: name, email, company (optional), phone or WhatsApp number (optional), the type of project you are interested in, and whatever you write about the current situation. With the request we keep the fact that you checked the consent box, the version of the text you accepted, the date and the page you sent it from.
  • If you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or on our Facebook, Instagram, Threads or YouTube pages: your number, address or username and the content of the messages or comments. If you write from the site's WhatsApp button, the message already includes the page you are writing from; you can delete it before sending.
  • Technical data: your request arrives with the approximate country derived from your IP address and the site language, so we can serve you better. Our infrastructure provider also logs, for security and for a short period, the IP address, browser and requested page, and the form's bot check processes the IP address and browser data.
  • Site visits: we measure visits in aggregate to improve the site and our products: pages viewed, approximate country, device type and browser, and the page you came from. The measurement uses no cookies or identifiers, builds no profiles of people and is never matched with the form data.

We do not ask for sensitive, financial or asset data.

3. What we use it for

Purposes needed to handle the request you made:

  • reply to you and provide service and support on what you asked;
  • prepare and send the proposal, quote or demo you ask for;
  • follow up on that same request by WhatsApp, phone or email, including commercial follow-up to close or drop what you asked for, which may mean several messages.

We have no secondary purposes: we run no promotional campaigns, send no newsletters and do not use your data for advertising, profiling or messages about topics you did not ask about.

4. How to limit the use or disclosure of your data

To stop follow-ups, reply “BAJA” to our message or write to info@mexadev.com. To limit the use of your data in any other way, write to info@mexadev.com with the subject “Limit use” and we will stop contacting you through the channel you indicate.

5. Who else processes it

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties. These providers process it on our behalf, as processors and only to serve us:

  • our infrastructure provider, located in the United States: it hosts the site, emails us what you type in the form and protects the form from bots, and stores and sorts the form requests and the messages and comments we receive on WhatsApp and our social pages so we can answer them;
  • our email provider, whose servers may be located outside Mexico: it receives and stores the requests that arrive at info@mexadev.com and the follow-up messages;
  • the visit-measurement service, with servers in the United States: it counts visits in aggregate, without cookies or identifiers.

If you choose WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or Threads, the message travels through Meta Platforms, Inc., and if you comment on YouTube, through Google LLC, under their own terms. We would share data with an authority only if the law requires it.

6. Your ARCO rights

You may access, rectify or cancel your data, or object to its processing. Write to info@mexadev.com with:

  • your name and a way to reply;
  • a copy of your ID (or your representative's and the document that proves it);
  • the right you are exercising and the data concerned;
  • anything that helps us find it.

Carlos Román Ruiz Basulto handles these requests. We answer within 20 business days and, if applicable, act on it within the following 15 business days. Both periods may be extended once by an equal period if the case justifies it, and we will tell you. It is free of charge.

To have us delete your data, including what reached us through the form, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Threads or YouTube: write to info@mexadev.com with the subject «Delete my data», your name and the number, email or username you wrote from, or ask in the same conversation. We delete the requests, messages, comments and contact details we hold, except what the law requires us to keep, and confirm through the same channel within the periods above.

7. How to revoke your consent

The same way and with the same requirements as in item 6. Revocation is not retroactive.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

  • We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • If you only browse the site, it stores no cookies in your browser.
  • Visit measurement uses no cookies or identifiers: it counts, in aggregate, pages viewed, approximate country, device type and browser, and the referring page.
  • The bot check loads with the contact form and analyzes technical browser data to tell people from bots.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working.

9. How long we keep it

What you type in the form reaches us by email at info@mexadev.com and is stored in our customer-service database, the same one where we answer WhatsApp messages, together with the consent you gave us. Only the people at Mexadev who handle your request can see it there. If no commercial relationship follows, we delete the request, in the email and in that database, 12 months after the last contact. If the conversation continues on WhatsApp, the request is kept with those messages. If you become a customer, it is kept with the contract file for as long as commercial and tax laws require. Messages and comments we receive on WhatsApp and our social pages are kept for 24 months after the last contact and then deleted.

10. Security

We use an encrypted connection, a bot check, send limits, origin checks on every request and restricted access. Server logs do not include what you type in the form. If a breach significantly affects your rights, we will tell you right away: what happened, which data, what we did and what we recommend.

11. Minors

This site is for adults acting on behalf of a company. If you are a minor, do not send us data; if we receive it, we delete it.

12. Changes to this notice

We will publish any change at mexadev.com/en/privacy with its update date. If the change requires your consent, we will ask for it.

13. Authority

If you believe we did not honor your rights, you may go to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the authority for personal data protection in Mexico.
